Denali National Park

Denali from the Talkeetna road, and the Mountains in front of it are huge themselves, probably comparable to the Rockies.

More tiny flowers but such a neat color

another moose

These tiny flowers are everywhere and the blooms are about the size of a quarter.

Adam on the race sled at the Sled Dog Demonstration. He was in heaven with all of those dogs!

One of the beautiful flowers in Denali. The are the tiniest flowers I have ever seen but they are beautiful!

More flowers and my fingers to give an idea of size

This sign so captures our beliefs. I love it!

HUMMMMM??? In the creek bed beside our camp.
The adventure continues with the trip to Denali. Truely an amazing place. It has so many different things to appreciate~ wildlife, beautiful views, amazing hikes, and all kinds of programs to help you understand the greatness and importance of this place. We were in awe of the mountain when the clouds opened up and we became part of the 33% club - only 1/3rd of people that visit actually get to see the mountain. It was amazing to see but honestly we didnt really appreciate the size of it until we had left the park and ventured South. We saw Denali from the road to Talkeetna and it literally took Mark a minute to realize what he was seeing. That is the photo I included here. We also got to see wildlife, including grizzlies, moose, Golden Eagle, a wolf, caribou, and Dall Sheep. It was a neat time to be here as there are babies, and we saw a grizzly and also a moose with their babies, and a moose with a set of twins. Pretty cool! We hiked around a place called Polychrome Mtn as the rocks there were very interesting. Each night there was a Rangers program in our campground and each of them were really neat. We also saw a Dog sled program at the Park Kennels. Adam was in Heaven. Adam also finished his Junior Rangers program and was sworn in as the Parks newest ranger. Pretty fun.  We ventured out and got into Anchorage last night. Not our planned stop but we didnt find a camp ground in Wasilla or Willow so we ventured on. We are anxious to get our laundry done and head out to the VanMeters today!
